One of Tiger Woods' first putters on tour was the long neck Scotty Cameron "Scottydale" putter. In fact, many people called for an invalidation of Tiger's 2nd PGA Tour victory at the 1996 Walt Disney Classic because the putter's neck socket was too long and in violation of USGA rules. Tiger survived that controversy and Scotty Cameron delivered Tiger a modified version of that putter for the next week's Tour Championship. Then, Scotty Cameron and Tiger Woods worked together to modify the club even further for the 1997 season.
This is one of the limited run of 1996 Scottydale putters. Production had to be altered to change the length of the hosel, though some were still released with the illegal longer length.
New, never gamed. 34" with headcover.
