Circa 1985 Bronze Golf Statue Restrike by Bofill. Restrike of a golfer in cap, jacket, and knickers at the finish of his swing. The original figure was sculpted by Antoine Bofill around 1895. The figure is posed in the classic finish position typical of the era in which the golfer is using a two-handed baseball grip and went way past parralel. The quality, workmanship, detail and condition are outstanding. The Spanish sculptor was well renowned in the art world of one hundred years ago. Only thirteen restrikes of the original were made. 19.75" high and weighs a hefty 18 pound. Last one we saw sold at auction in 2012 for $2630.
