Offered here is an actual bronze medal awarded at the 1898 United States Women's Amateur at Ardley Club in NY. This bronze medal was issued to one of the 1898 US Women's Amateur semi-finalists, which was either Carol Eidlitz or Frances Griscom. The tournament was famously won by early phenom Beatrix Hoyt. The 1898 US Women's Amateur was only the 4th playing of the Women's Am. This is also one of the rare surviving versions of the early USGA medals from the 19th century.
