The Grand Slam of Golf is the most exclusive golf tournament in the world; to be invited, all you have to do is win one of that year's Major Championships. Offered here is an exceptional autographed display from the 1999 Grand Slam of Golf. This one was special, as it was supposed to include 1999 US Open winner Payne Stewart against Tiger Woods (PGA Championship), Paul Lawrie (Open Championship), and Jose Maria Olazabal (Masters Tournament). But less than a month before the tournament, Payne Stewart famously died on a private plane flight. Tournament organizers scrambled and were able to fill his spot with Davis Love III. The tournament would go on; albeit with a mournful tone.
This 18th hole flag is autographed by all four who participated in the tournament, including Tiger Woods. It includes 2 plaques commemorating Payne Stewart, including one stating "In Loving Memory, Payne Stewart 1957 to 1999." Framed (without glass) to an overall size of 38 x 32.
